Terms of Use & Safety Disclaimer
Last updated Oct 20, 2026. By using Texas Lake Report ("the site", "we", "us") at texaslakereport.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Safety disclaimer: read this before you go
- Data is provisional. Lake levels, percent full, gauge readings, marine forecasts, tides, water temperatures, wind and weather on this site come from public sources: the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the National Weather Service (NWS) and NOAA. Much of this data is provisional, can be revised by those agencies, and can be delayed, missing or wrong. We copy it automatically and may show it hours after it was collected.
- No guarantee of accuracy. We try to keep everything correct and current, but we don't guarantee that any information on the site (data, lake facts, boat ramp lists, fishing patterns, gear specs or prices) is accurate, complete or up to date.
- Check official sources. Before any trip, confirm conditions with the official source: the agency or authority that runs the lake, the National Weather Service for forecasts and warnings, and the ramp or park operator for closures.
- Follow TPWD rules. Fishing licenses, bag and length limits, and lake-specific rules are set by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Outdoor Annual. Nothing on this site is a statement of the law. If anything here conflicts with TPWD's rules, TPWD is right.
- Boating and water safety. Boating, wading and fishing carry real risks, including drowning, storms and lightning, heat illness, stingrays, submerged hazards at low water and fast-changing coastal weather. Wear a life jacket, follow Texas boating laws, tell someone your plan, and don't go out if conditions look unsafe. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions on the water.
