- No accounts, no tracking cookies. This site is static HTML (the only server-side part is the fishing report form). We don't set advertising cookies.
- Analytics: none at the moment. If we add privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics, this page will say so.
- Hosting logs: our hosting provider may process standard request data (such as IP address and user agent) for security and performance.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email is stored by our newsletter provider, beehiiv, only to send the newsletter. You sign up on beehiiv's page; this site never sees or stores your email. You can unsubscribe from any issue.
- Fishing reports: when you submit a report, we store what you type in the form (lake or bay, date, species, bait/technique, notes, optional water details, optional name and optional email) in Cloudflare Workers KV storage, along with the submission time. We don't store your IP address: we keep only a one-way hash of it for one hour, to limit spam. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check for bots. Reports are published only after a person reviews and approves them, and then only the report details and your optional name or initials are shown. Your email is never published and is used only if we have a question about your report. Rejected reports are deleted from time to time. To have a report removed, contact us.
